This research into light and the techniques of the mezzotint manner has an important practical component. The perspective from which the image is examined and analyzed is not that of an art critic, but rather that of a practitioner. In this study, several directions of research are explored, beginning with the techniques themselves, which remain constantly open to the refinement and simplification of procedures, and continuing with their visual and theoretical implications.<\/p>\n
