The theory of form and configuration developed by Paul Klee encompasses the areas of the elementary, content and style. The abundance of annotations, the guidelines of his thought, open up – beyond any interpretation – a new path to the artist’s pictorial work. In addition to the theoretical discussions and analyses of the paintings, there is an additional element that contributes to clarification: the text is accompanied by drawings designed to clarify contexts and connections. From the simple forms to the most complex paintings, there is one element that is always at the heart of Klee’s thinking about form as it unfolds: movement. The optical underpinnings of his theory of form provide exceptional guidance into the world of his paintings.<\/p>\n
